Today we’re excited to announce the launch of our new Citizen Portal for Amanda. The Citizen Portal enables governments to provide online services to citizens and businesses. Residents, applicants, and contractors can use the portal to apply for licenses and permits, file requests for service, enter inspection requests, check status of a request, renew licenses, pay fees and more.
The new portal is a commercial-off-the-shelf solution which is both device (e.g., laptop, tablet, smartphone) and browser agnostic — making it extremely flexible, easy to implement and easy to use. Amanda customers can customize the visual design of the portal and can determine which services to offer based on their own preferences and the needs of their community. Amanda customers can also control what information is made available to the general public and what, if any, additional information they’ll provide to registered users.
Increasingly, citizens are expecting it to be easier to interact with government online and through mobile devices — much like they do for banking, retail transactions, social interactions, and more. In fact, a recent study from the Center for Digital Government showed that 40% of respondents preferred to do business with state governments online, and overwhelmingly support governments experimenting with consumer-friendly apps. Use of the new Citizen Portal helps our customers take a big step in meeting that citizen desire and need.
If you are interested in using the Citizen Portal, please join our free webinar, which will include an overview of features and a brief demonstration, on Thurs., Dec. 13 at noon central time. You can register for the webinar here. If you would like to speak to someone on our team about arranging a demonstration of the portal, today: https://www.csdcsystems.com/company/schedule-a-demo/.
