CSDC Launches New Amanda Freedom of Information Solution
Integrated Redaction and Case Management Features Help Government Agencies Successfully Operate and Scale Information Disclosure Services
Austin, Texas, June 11, 2019
Government officials responsible for meeting citizen requests for information are also tasked with complying with relevant legislation, protecting the security and privacy of critical information, and meeting rigorous reporting and compliance requirements. CSDC is launching a new Amanda Freedom of Information Solution to help those officials effectively manage their mandated information disclosure programs and maintain compliance. The new solution will be launched at the upcoming sixteenth annual Access and Privacy Conference in Edmonton, Alberta. CSDC is currently working with a government customer to implement the first use of the new solution; that project is expected to launch later this year.
The new product provides an enterprise case management solution for government officials to manage FOI requests that can easily scale to manage FOI operations for any size government. It includes an industry-leading, integrated redaction capability as well as advanced analytics and reporting tools that help make operations and compliance reporting easier and more efficient. Other key benefits of the solution include:
- Enterprise-grade case management – allowing government officials to comply with meeting information requests in complex government structure, legal and regulatory environments.
- Integrated document conversion, optical character recognition (OCR) and redaction capabilities.
- A collaboration portal to securely involve other government agencies, and an online portal available to requestors.
“Managing Freedom of Information requests is a critical and complex job for any government, and FOI requests will only increase over time,” said Erin Mulligan Nelson, CSDC CEO. “Government professionals need to respond to citizens quickly and completely as possible while protecting other citizens’ privacy and secure information. Providing governments with an enterprise-grade case management system – especially with advanced integrated redaction capabilities – can help them meet required information disclosure much more efficiently and enable them to easily meet annual compliance reporting requirements.”
CSDC is sponsoring the Access and Privacy Conference, hosted by the University of Alberta Faculty of Extension, held this year on June 13 and 14 in Edmonton, Alberta. The new Amanda solution will be launched at the conference so that government officials attending can see the features of the new solution and talk with CSDC representatives about how they can access and implement this solution in their own jurisdiction.
“Government professionals need to respond to citizens quickly and completely as possible while protecting other citizens’ privacy and secure information.”
