We’re excited to be taking part in the 16th annual Access and Privacy Conference in a few weeks. The event will be held June 13–14, in Edmonton, Alberta, and we’re proud to be a gold level sponsor alongside our partner CGI.
The event is hosted each year by the University of Alberta’s Faculty of Extension and attracts hundreds of Canadian and international delegates from the private and public sectors. Attendees come to network and learn the latest about the important areas of ensuring online access to information while protecting privacy to their customers, users, and citizens.
We’ll be there with CGI to meet and talk with attendees about how we can help solve their information disclosure-related challenges related to FOI requests. We’re expecting to be able to share some significant updates about our Amanda FOI product, which helps governments manage meeting citizens requests for information while protecting information which must be kept confidential due to security or legal reasons.
On the Thursday of the conference (June 13), John Hanby, our Senior Vice President of Sales, will present CSDC’s annual recognition of academic excellence — the 2019 IAPP Program Award — to the University of Alberta student studying in the Information Access and Protection of Privacy Program who has the highest grade point average. On the Friday of the conference, John will be introducing the conference keynote speaker, The Honourable Michael McEvoy, Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
If you are planning to attend the event, let us know, we’d love to see you there. And if you are responsible for managing FOI requests on behalf of a provincial, state, or local government, get in touch, we have solutions that can help!
